Written by MSA
Monday, 25 February 2008

The official launch of SNC Lavalin's 2008 Summer Student Employment Program, which helps to identify and develop potential future employees for our Company is now underway. The Program supports our continued success to be one of the leading groups of engineering and construction companies. The Program also provides students with practical training while affording them an opportunity to finance their education.

Managers interested in hiring a summer student will be sent the Summer Student Employment Program guidelines and requisition form separately.

Students who are studying in fields relevant to SNC Lavalin's business or related corporate support functions are invited to apply on-line on the Careers page, under the Employment Opportunities section, Reference # 7125 on our external website www.snclavalin.com, from February 21, 2008 through March 6, 2008. Students must submit a resume and cover letter by the posting closing date of March 6, 2008 to ensure consideration for summer employment. To be eligible for the Summer Student Employment Program students must be enrolled to return to a post-secondary institution (college or university) in September 2008, available to work from May 2008 to the end of August 2008 and legally eligible to work in Canada in accordance with Canadian Immigration laws.

Human Resources will make every effort to place students in positions related to their field of study to ensure they get the most from their work experience at SNC Lavalin. SNC-Lavalin (TSX:SNC) is one of the leading engineering and construction groups in the world and a major player in the ownership of infrastructure, and in the provision of operations and maintenance services. The SNC-Lavalin companies have offices across Canada and in 35 other countries around the world and are currently working in some 100 countries. www.snclavalin.com
