Assalamu 'Alaikum, MSA 40th Anniversary Winter Hoodies will be on sale for the entire week of November 26th. The Hoodies will have the MSA 40th Anniversary Logo embroidered across the chest of the Hoodie, as well as personalization on the sleeve. All buyers will have the option to choose their own Hoodie and Thread colours from this selection. Currently, the MSA 40th Anniversary Logo has not been revealed, and will be revealed in early January. We hope that this particular situation should not discourage you from purchasing an MSA Hoodie. The cost of the Hoodie is $40 final, including personalization. There will be a table in front of the MSA office from Monday November 26th - Thursday November 30th where you can pre-order your Hoodie. Pre-orders will also be taken at the 1:30pm Jummah on Friday November 30th. After this date, pre-orders are final, no acceptations. You can purchase your Hoodie in front of the MSA office on:

Tuesday November 27th - 1:30pm – 5:00pm
Wednesday November 28th - 11:30am -12:20pm
Thursday November 29th - 2:30pm – 5:00pm

Assalamulaikum, McMaster University and Diversity Services in conjunction with MacMSA present another promising step towards building trust and establishing unity in the community. Come now and join us in teaching the virtues of fasting by attending "Experience Ramadan". All Muslims and non-Muslims are invited. This event is an open iftaar where everyone is welcome and it's completely free of cost! We encourage you all to come out to this event and bring all your friends as well, everyone is welcome, Muslims and non-Muslims alike! This is a great opportunity to show you non-Muslim friends what Ramadan is all about by having them experience an iftaar with us.
Food will be professionally catered by the Paradise Catering Services. There will be a program alongside the dinner which will include guest speakers among other things.
Doors open at 5:30 pm on October 4. Don't miss out! |

This is a reminder that a guest speaker will be coming on Thursday, Sep 20 to talk to us about Making the Most of our Ramadan. Our guest speaker has been changed to Shaykh Faraz Rabbani, as Shaykh Riad Ouarzazi was unable to make it, however the topic will remain the same.

Assalamu Alaikum,
Please check the "Fasting and Iftaar" tab for Iftaar locations and times for the week of Sep 17 - 21.
The General Assembly Meeting (GAM) is scheduled for Wed, Sep 19 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the Health Sciences Centre (HSC) Room 1A6. This is your opportunity to learn about the MSA in a more formal way. If you are interested in getting involved and like what the MSA does, we will be having all of the execs and directors present, and will introduce all of the committees with signups.
Shaykh Riad Ouarzazi will be giving a lecture on how to make the most of our Ramadan. For more information, please check the "Islamic Education" tab.

MAC MSA wishes you all a safe and happy Ramadan!
Please check the "Fasting and Iftaar" section for Iftaar locations and times on campus.
Taraweeh will start on the evening of 12th September inshaAllah in the MSA office at Wentworth House. Isha will be at 9:15, followed by Taraweeh at 9:30.
Information on a Tajweed Halaqa for brothers has also been posted in the "Islamic Education" section.

Assalamu Alaikum,
Locations for Friday prayers will remain the same from September 14 onwards until the end of the semester InshaAllah.
The first congregation will be at 1:30 pm in the East Gym (Smith Gym) of the Ivor Wynne Centre.
The second congregation will be at 2:30 pm in the MSA Office in the Wentworth House.
Once Daylight Savings Time begins, there will be no 2:30 congregation in the MSA Office - it will be changed to 12:30 pm. The prayer in the Smith Gym will not be affected by Daylight Savings Time.

Assalamu Alaikum,
Friday prayers on September 7 will be held at 1:30 pm at the lawn in front of BSB inshaAllah (Burke Sciences Building).
The second prayers will be held at 2:30 pm in the MSA office.
Right after Friday prayers, there is a BBQ planned at Webster's Falls!! There's lots of free food, sports, games, and a hike "Behind-the-Falls" and best of all, rides are all arranged for you guys so all you have to do is show up to the meeting spot! There will be announcements about the BBQ right after Friday prayers and further instructions on where to meet, so don't miss it!
